in the debate with Kamala

Since the announcement of US Vice President Kamala Harris as the possible presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, the Trump camp has received one blow after another. According to the latest survey, Kamala has surpassed Trump in popularity. Kamala is leading in fund raising as well. Recently, Trump has come under criticism for attacking Kamala's racial identity.

In this situation, Donald Trump initially refused to participate in a televised debate with Kamala, but later agreed. Last Friday, Trump said on his social media, Truth Social, that he agreed to participate in the debate with Kamala on September 4 with Fox News.

On the same day, Kamala Harris was officially nominated as the Democratic Party candidate. Democratic National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison made the announcement.

According to CNN, within 36 hours of accepting e-mail votes, Kamala received more votes than required. Kamala's candidature will be finalized at the party's national convention.

After the nomination was confirmed, Kamala Harris said, 'I feel honored to be nominated as the candidate of the Democratic Party. I will formally accept the nomination next week.'

Although Trump agreed to the debate, Kamala's opinion on the matter was not immediately known. But it is assumed that he will agree.

On July 21, Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the presidential race and endorsed Kamala. Since then, Kamala started campaigning. At the end of June, Biden was caught by Trump in a debate hosted by CNN. Since then, the pressure on Biden to step down from the party increased and finally he stepped down.

If Biden is the candidate, he is scheduled to debate Trump on ABC television on September 10. After Biden stepped down, Kamala continued to discuss Trump's debate. However, Trump spokesman Steven Cheung questioned the timing of the debate as Kamala was not an official candidate.
