Dr Disrespect may stop streaming video games and transition to covering sports instead.
Content creator Dr Disrespect appears to be nearing a return, as a recent Twitter post and the departure of a longtime editor suggest a shift in his content.
In June, Guy Beahm, better known as Dr Disrespect, admitted to inappropriate communication with a minor and promptly went on vacation after being demonetized on YouTube.
Six weeks later, he confirmed his intent to return to streaming but did not specify when, where, or what kind of content he would produce.
This week, Dr Disrespect provided an update, stating he's back from vacation, but hinted that streaming video games may no longer be part of his plans, possibly due to the departure of a key team member.
‘Relaxing in the Lambo with the windows down… back from La Vacacion,’ Dr Disrespect said on Twitter recently.
He also appeared to be considering changing video games for a different type of content, saying:
‘Are people still streaming video games? What a snooze fest.’
This coincides with the departure of one of Dr Disrespect’s long-time video editors, known to viewers as ‘Alex.’
On Twitter, Alex reflected on the past few months, saying, “Despite all the drama and chaos, I’m still very proud of the work I’ve done, but it’s time for me to move on.”
While Alex thanked several colleagues in his farewell, he notably left Dr Disrespect out, despite working with him for six years. Although Alex did not explain the reason for his departure, it fuels speculation that Dr Disrespect may be planning a shift in his content upon his return.
